We are moving into our second heat wave with red alert warnings, I wonder how many more heatwaves we will encounter this year? If using the village hall, remember you can put the heating on 18% and it will go into cool air within 10 mins. But please remember to switch it off when leaving! As we do reserve the right to charge you £20!
The safari lunch held on the 14th June was a very happy occasion, with starters at 4 venues and main course at 2x venues and delicious desserts at the v hall. Thanks go to all those who made lovely food and made it happen! Thankyou to you all who came along and thankyou to the weather man!
Hopefully our little afternoon tea on June 28th will have been cooler and profitable in order to raise a good amount towards hosting our friends from Birmingham who sing for us in the Birmingham University singers choir at Christmas. Always a treat! This year they visit 12th/13th Dec.
The B B Q will begin at 5 pm with Bar open. Followed by skittles! Bring the family, friends and neighbours for a lovely summer evening!
Tickets from committee members- £12 adults, £6 children
A lovely walk from Dilwyn to Weobley 3.5 miles,(where Hamlet was filmed) Leave the village hall at 10am.
We look forward to seeing you when you can and always happy to hear from you if you can help and offer any new, good ideas .
A happy summer!!
